Dr. Lynette Morgan PhD & Simon Lennard M.Hort.Sc. Fruit matured approximately one (1) week earlier on the Spray-N-Grow plants. Spray-N-Grow plants had a continual advancement of one (1) - two (2) weeks in flowering and fruit set over the control plants. Higher flower numbers were noted on the Spray-N-Grow plants. Treatment effect on fruit yields After six (6) months of harvesting through the late spring, summer and fall periods from teh unheated media grown crops, the Spray-N-Grow plants produced a 132% increase in yield over the control plants. After five (5) months of harvesting through December to May 2003 from the unheated media grown crop, the Spray-N-Grow plants produced an 82% yield increase over the control plants. Overall, the Spray-N-Grow plants produced significantly larger berries and greater fruit numbers.
